| At TAGETARL we reach for the Stars, and our results bear testament to this aspiration. At TAGETARL our dogs exhibit TRUE breed Type. They all have correct angulation, tail sets, ear and eye shape / placement, skull to muzzle ratios, coat colour and texture. All our dogs move like the wind, effortless! And quite honestly if they don't have ALL of these qualities then they are not a part of our breeding programme. TEAM TAGETARL ...75 individual CHAMPIONS and counting... At TAGETARL we believe in producing the complete and FUNCTIONAL animal. Our dogs are not only bred as a showpiece but also to be a dedicated family companion. In our ever-changing world, we require a balanced, trainable and adaptable family dog. If you dream of owning a dog who will succeed in the strongest of competition, or even if you are just looking for a companion with STAR looks, then consider the quality that we consistently produce. At TAGETARL we are cautious to guard our bloodlines. This is because we have been successful in eliminating many of the problems and faults from our stock that are clearly still present in many dogs. We have achieved this through a sound understanding of form and function, hard work and dedication over many decades. This process has been aided by the added knowledge and application of a university background in genetics. We have systematically pulled apart our lines and then re-constructed a sound breeding programme that is to be envied. We are not saying that our dogs are perfect, every dog has areas that could be improved. But we are saying that we are aware of this and select individuals in our breeding programme that increase our chances of improving with each generation. At TAGETARL we are serious about producing sound, healthy dogs. All breeding stock are DNA tested for PRA. At TAGETARL all dogs hip-scored have returned a reading UNDER the breed average. At TAGETARL we have bred over 160 litters and have NEVER bred a deaf puppy. Steve and Carol are ANKC conformation Judges for Working Dogs. Steve is also judges Utility Dogs and Carol judges Toys. |

| We are NOT a commercial business, we are HOBBY breeders and exhibitors. We devote a great deal of time and effort to produce top quality puppies within our four chosen Australian breeds ONLY. We breed primarily for ourselves. We do NOT breed for the puppy market or for income based purposes. On occassions we may offer puppies surplus to our requirements to loving companion homes. We may also offer puppies to other like-minded breeders or people wishing to show our dogs. Breeding our gorgeous dogs to show is the hobby sport that we love and enjoy. |

| Featuring Dusty the ACD : To the beautiful people Steve and Carol Beckett from Tagetarl Kennels, thank you ever so much for my puppy. Registered as 'Dusty Darling'. I now have a pure Australian Cattle Dog, ACD for those in the know. My birthday present for last year, though I did have to wait, good things come to those who wait! He was better looking than a doll when we collected him. He is now 9 months old and turning into 'the man'. Thank you sooooo much Steve and Carol. Dusty is naturally very obedient, learnt from an early age to walk on the chocker, sit and stop. Jessie is walking him twice a day and they are good for each other. Jesse turned 73 last month and could hardly walk (knees) before we got Dusty. Dusty roams with 43 peacocks, 3 turkeys and a dozen chooks no problems at all. Corrine Jarc, Howard Springs N.T. |
